WV: Domestic Defense, Wife Shoots, Kills, Husband

One person is dead after an early morning shooting in Cabell County.

The Cabell County Sheriff tells 13 News a call came in a little after 4 a.m Thursday for reports of a shooting.

The sheriff says Cathy Elder told 911 dispatchers she shot what she believed to be an intruder.

That man, according to the sheriff, was Cathy Elder's husband, 52-year-old David Elder.
