Police said he threatened family members with a shotgun for several
hours. At one point, after family members tried to calm him down,
Holloway’s father ran to retrieve a handgun. That led to a confrontation
between the two men; Holloway pointed the shotgun at his father, who
fired a single round that struck Holloway near the abdomen.
