According to the Police report, the first victim entered the home, where the suspect, Trustin, had broken in. Trustin then held that victim at gun point.
According to the report, Reel could not get into the residence because he did not have his keys. He saw his friend inside, but he was not moving or getting up to unlock the door. Reel then kicked down the back door of the house, and saw his friend being held at gunpoint. He retrieved a rifle to confront Trustin, who was armed with a pistol, according to the police report. Trustin then shot Reel and killed him.
