According to deputies, the female victim told the male victim that he had to leave but he didn’t. Their oldest child who is 15-year-old also told the male victim to leave and physically attempted to push him out the door. The argument began to escalate and the female victim told officers that the male victim allegedly called her several derogatory names including cunt.
The female victim’s boyfriend Edmonston who also lived in the apartment heard the male victim allegedly call her a cunt and walked out of the bedroom. According to officers, he was reportedly armed with a 9mm pistol and told the male victim to leave, but instead, the male victim charged down the hallway at Edmonston and allegedly hit him in the head with his fist.
The male victim had no weapons in his hand and Edmonstron allegedly shot the male victim in the abdomen to the right of his navel then once more struck him in the right forearm just grazing him. According to deputies, the Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the scene, and the male victim was taken to the Citizens Med Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
