Det. Misty Holley with the Portsmouth Police Department said officers
were called to a home in the 3900 block of Long Point Boulevard for a
report of a home invasion. There, they found a 29-year-old man suffering
from a gunshot wound to the back. Several others were in the home and
were not hurt.
According to police, four masked suspects armed
with weapons entered the home and tried to rob the victims. One of the
victims fired a handgun, hitting the 29-year-old suspect.
