After police left, the resident found someone in a closet in a barber
shop attached to the home. Out of fear for his safety, the resident shot
the man once in the arm, police said. The intruder ran away from the
home, and officers, hearing the shot, ran to the backyard and took the
man into custody.

The 76-year-old man will not be charged in connection to the shooting, police said.
