On Tuesday morning , a Detroit homeowner shot
and killed an intruder who climbed into the woman’s bedroom window. That
incident marks the 12th justifiable homicide in Detroit since the
beginning of the year, and the most recent in a string of homeowners
shooting intruders.
Increasingly,
homeowners are defending themselves in the face of imminent danger
against criminals. It is encouraging Detroit Police Chief James Craig
continues to be supportive of their right to do so.
