Alan Gura as Superman

This depiction of Alan Gura as Superman in the fight to restore second amendment rights was made available for people to sign, as a gift to Alan, at the Gun Rights Policy Conference in Chicago.

Alan Gura is held in high regard because of his court wins in the Heller and McDonald Supreme Court cases.   He recently had another victory in the Palmer v. DC case, though it took five years to obtain a decision there.

Alan Gura attended the Gun Rights Policy Conference in Chicago.  Several speakers  warned of the dangers of  circuit court take overs by Obama appointees.  I recall that 9 of the 13 circuits already have Obama appointee majorities.   Harry Reid's use of the nuclear option to stack the D.C. circuit with Obama appointees shows the trend.

If constitutionalists are not able to stop more Obama appointees to the appeals courts, the "courthouse door" for constitutionalists is likely to be closed for generations.

The reason the Democrats went for the nuclear option may well be their not expecting to see a Republican president and a Republican Senate at the same time for decades to come. One may wish that they would be proven wrong in the next few years, but how likely is that, given the way the country has been evolving?
