CA: Jury Acquits for Murder, hangs in Domestic Self Defense Case
WOODLAND — Acquitted of both first- and second-degree murder in the shooting death of her husband, Susan Hoskins has her first bid at freedom in more than a year while prosecutors decide whether to retry her on a lesser charge.
Hoskins was freed from the Yolo County Jail on $140,000 bail as of this morning. On Monday, Yolo Superior Court Judge David Reed declared a mistrial in her homicide case, the result of jurors saying they were hopelessly deadlocked on a count of voluntary manslaughter.

A jury decided. Their decision was plain - hung. That a particular jury hangs is not cause to dismiss a enumerated right. If a jury hangs, tough!
At worst, a hung jury means the law itself is ambiguous.
At best, a hung jury means someone or several exercised jury nullification.
Why people tolerate even the most blatant violations of the plain spelled out language of the Constitution is something I have yet to grasp. I can only say they must not have read it.....
Try.....try again....retry.....twice put in jeopardy.....sheesh.
