Sheriff Stephens says one reason they'll take the case directly to a
grand jury is connections Wilson and his family had with the sheriff's
office as well as relationships he's had with Riner's family for
decades. An objective grand jury will decide whether to indict or not.
If they do, authorities will arrest Riner and the case will proceed. If
they don't, that could be the end of the case.
