FL: Domestic Defense? Man Shot After Breaking into Home

The shooter told deputies the other man, whose relation to him has not been released, broke a glass window on the back side of the home to get inside. A confrontation erupted, then the resident shot the intruder, deputies said. Three other adults — an elderly female family member and two of the shooter's friends — were also inside.

The event "appears to be domestic violence related," the Sheriff's Office said in a news release, adding that there is a history of domestic violence between the man who was shot and other living at the residence.
