(CA) Suspected Burglar Shot In Neck; Drives Self To Hospital

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- A suspected burglar drove himself to the hospital after being shot in the neck by a neighbor while leaving the apartment, officials said. At about 11 a.m. Friday, Bakersfield Police Department officials said a neighbor saw someone coming out of his next door neighbor's apartment on Montaro Court . Police said the neighbor knew his neighbors were gone on vacation and that no one was supposed to be there.  Officers said at that point, the neighbor pulled out a gun and shot the suspected burglar in the neck.
