CHINA SPRING (August 31, 2012)—A homeowner confronted a burglary Friday morning at a residence in China Spring and was able to fire at least one shot at the suspect before he ran away.
McLennan County deputies were sent just before 11 a.m. to a residence in the 2000 block of Meandering Way where a homeowner reported he had opened fire on a man who was trying to break into the home.
Chief Deputy Randy Plemons could not say if the burglar was hit by the gunfire.
Deputies had mounted a search for the suspect Friday afternoon.
The homeowner was not harmed in the incident.
