(UK) Couple who shot burglars describe ordeal as 'difficult beyond belief'

A couple arrested after shooting at masked burglars who broke into their remote cottage have described the ordeal as "difficult beyond belief". Andy and Tracey Ferrie said they had been "humbled" by the support they had received since the incident in the early hours of Sunday morning.   After almost three days of questioning by police the couple were released on police bail.Last night however the Crown Prosecution Service announced their actions had been within the law and they were not to face charges. In a statement the pair said: "The past few days have been difficult beyond belief. We are grateful and humbled by the support we have received."
