PROSPECT, Va. (WTVR) – Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a deadly shooting and home invasion in the Prospect area of Prince Edward, according to Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a call in the 5000 block of Prince Edward Highway regarding a home invasion.
The caller reported that three people with weapons entered his house and exchanged gun shots.
Officials say two of the suspects were shot and pronounced dead at the scene, while the third suspect fled on foot.
