According to Lt. Craig Mast, the 13-year-old boy called dispatchers
around 7:10 a.m. Tuesday from his home in the 2500 block of West Shelby
Road. The boy told investigators a suspect tried to break into his
home. The boy says he confronted the suspect and felt threatened, so he
shot at the man.
