This article is over a year old, but defensive shootings in Jamaica, by legally armed citizens, are rare. It is extremely difficult to obtain a permit to own a gun in Jamaica, let alone carry one for self defense.
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A man was killed yesterday afternoon when he and a colleague attempted a robbery on Omara Road, Kingston 10.
According to community members the two men tried to rob a man who turned out to be licenced firearm holder.
