LA: Homeowner Shoots Suspect who was Acting "erratically"
SLIDELL - A Slidell homeowner shot and killed a man who was acting 'erratically' in his front yard early Monday morning, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office.
According to a spokesperson with the sheriff's office, deputies were sent to a home in the Ozone Woods subdivision shortly after midnight.

I think I would have to know a lot more about this case before I would call it self defense.
I live a few houses down, suspect was on large dose of Dextromethorphan, had altercation with girlfriend and her mother. They called cops, he walked down two blocks to house of man/woman who had been by girlfriends house earlier. Suspect started beating on vehicles, wanting to fight man because man/woman were squabbling earlier. man said leave, suspect refused, started approaching man who was backed up to his front door. Gave a warning shot, suspect continued forward, six shots fired in torso, contacting suspect from a distance of 5 feet and concluding at 3 feet
I have to take pain meds for my back but I am very careful not to take any more than I absolutely need. I can not tolerate drug abusers. If a drug addict were to charge me he would be committing himself to target practice.
