Police in Warner Robins said officers were sent to Ignico Drive near Village South apartments for a call about a shooting in the area at 2:42 a.m. on Friday.
At the scene, police discovered an 18-year-old boy dead after he had been shot.
City officials later identified the victim as Kaden McGhee, and announced that the shooting is being investigated as a self-defense incident.
