Rochester police responded to the scene on Avery Street at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Monday after a neighbor reported hearing gunshots. The resident then called 911 to report he had fired upon a man who entered his house.
Arriving officers discovered the suspect dead in the kitchen. The individual reportedly gained entry to the home through a rear door.
