Jeremiah Jacorey Tolliver, 18, died after allegedly being shot by a 20-year-old man outside Rock Hill apartments Thursday night, officials said. Tolliver, Thompson, and Turner-Hansley allegedly plotted to “hit a lick” and rob the man of a gun, according to arrest warrants and statements in court from Rock Hill police Det. Tayler Englert.
The robbery victim allegedly shot Tolliver in self-defense, Englert said.
Both Thompson and Turner-Hansley are charged with murder, armed robbery, conspiracy, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Even though neither Thompson nor Turner-Hansley shot Tolliver, they face murder because Tolliver’s death allegedly happened during the commission of a felony, according to Englert and arrest warrants in the case.
