Detectives said a subject had obtained a key card to another individual’s hotel room and entered the room without permission. The subject later exited the room, and the verbal confrontation continued in the hallway.
Surveillance footage showed the subject attempting to strike the other individual and enter the hotel room a second time.
During the confrontation, the subject reached into his waistband and produced a black object. The other individual then fired approximately eight rounds, striking the subject multiple times, authorities said.
