Craft said the homeowner, who has not been identified, told
investigators that a man began beating on the front door, and when he
opened the door the man forced his way into his house.
The homeowner said that when he pulled a gun on
the man, he fled outside, but he still refused to leave the property,
and then began to move toward him in an aggressive manner. The homeowner
then opened fire, striking Fernandez four times.
