WV: Armed Victim Stops Burglary Attempt

A burglary and an attempted burglary in the area around Ansted, WV are being investigated by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015. Deputies were called to a home on Midland Trail during the very early hours of the morning. The victim told investigators that he confronted the suspect with a gun, after he saw him standing in the doorway to the bathroom. The suspect ran off before deputies arrived. A search of the area was done, but the suspect was not found.
