The homeowner said he got out of the truck with his gun, pointed it at
the suspect and told him to kneel down. When the suspect got back up and
began running away, the homeowner fired two shots to the side of the
suspect. He told police they were "warning shots" to prevent the suspect
from entering another home. The homeowner then returned to his house
with his son.

The 19-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with trespassing and
underage drinking. He was booked into the Coconino County Detention
Facility. The 58-year-old homeowner also could face charges for
discharging a weapon within city limits. The investigation is ongoing.

This bit about charging the home owner is BS. Self defense is not accomplished by appointment at a specific time and place. You defend your self where ever you need to. What law limits self defense to out side of the city?
