AZ: Alcohol and Warning Shots a Stupid Combination

The homeowner said he got out of the truck with his gun, pointed it at the suspect and told him to kneel down. When the suspect got back up and began running away, the homeowner fired two shots to the side of the suspect. He told police they were "warning shots" to prevent the suspect from entering another home. The homeowner then returned to his house with his son.

The 19-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with trespassing and underage drinking. He was booked into the Coconino County Detention Facility. The 58-year-old homeowner also could face charges for discharging a weapon within city limits. The investigation is ongoing.

This bit about charging the home owner is BS. Self defense is not accomplished by appointment at a specific time and place. You defend your self where ever you need to. What law limits self defense to out side of the city?
