On Saturday morning, Amarillo Police responded to a domestic disturbance on the 300 block of Fairlane.
The victim told dispatch that the male was assaulting her but that she
did have a weapon and would protect herself is she had too. A few
moments later she told call takers that she had indeed shot the male
subject.
Upon arrival, officers entered the residence and located a male subject with a gunshot wound to the leg.
