MS: Man Shoots Car Thief, Turns Himself In

Jackson investigators said they learned Grant allegedly stole an Acura in North Jackson prior to the shooting. The owner of the vehicle, identified as Christopher White, found the car at the Shell Food Mart and opened fire on Grant.

White fled the scene in the Acura. He later turned himself in to police.

White faces a charge of aggravated assault. Grant faces a charge of auto theft, police said
