More Followup SC: No Charges for Debra Sheridan in Sanders Shooting

EASLEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

After an investigation, the Solicitor's Office and the Anderson County Sheriff's Office determined no charges will be filed against an Upstate woman in a fatal shooting.

On Jan. 21, deputies responded to shots fired on Hamlin Road and found 37-year-old Jerry Wayne Sanders Jr. deceased. Sanders was shot to death by homeowner 50-year-old Debra Sheridan.

Sheridan told investigators she heard a noise coming from her shed and fired two warning shots before Sanders came out from behind the shed. When he did, Sheridan said she fired a shot in his direction.
