Followup IL: Mykel J. Curry Sought in Shooting Investigation

Mykel J. Curry, 29, is wanted on a warrant for aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. Rockford police say he shot at a man just before 2:45 p.m. on Monday in the 400 block of 27th Street.

Police spokeswoman Christie Castillo said Curry and a 23-year-old Rockford man went to that residence and confronted a man about a prior dispute. Castillo said she didn’t know the nature of that dispute, but the resident returned fire with his own handgun after Curry shot at him.
