KS: Gunfight, Shotgun v. Handgun, Suspects run off, no Injuries

Shawnee County sheriff’s Capt. Danny Lotridge said that when the resident woke up and found two people burglarizing the vehicle, he armed himself with a shotgun and confronted them.

Lotridge said the burglars ran, firing at least four shots at the resident. The gunfire struck the victim’s vehicle and house, Lotridge said.

The resident returned gunfire, Lotridge said.
