Many have said that an armed citizen has no chance against armed assailants, because they "have the drop" on him. This citizen shows how simplistic and silly that conjecture is in the real world. Three to one, and he walks away uninjured.
Investigators say the unidentified man was walking on 7th and Huntingdon
around 4:15 a.m. when he was approached by three armed robbers.
Police say the suspects took out their weapons and pointed them at the
man. The man, who was armed, took out his gun as well which prompted a
shootout. Police have not yet revealed whether the would-be victim or
the armed robbers opened fire first.

The would-be victim was not injured in the shooting. Police say the man
has a permit to carry his gun and no record. He will not be charged.
