SARASOTA COUNTY - The State Attorney’s Office has declined to
file any criminal charges against Christian Gunter, the 22-year-old
motorcyclist who shot a man at a gas station on Oct. 5 after the pair
were involved in a road rage incident.
Surveillance video, obtained exclusively by the Herald-Tribune shortly
after the shooting, appeared to buttress Gunter’s claims that he was
only acting in self defense when he shot Roger Atlas in the lower
abdomen, inflicting a minor wound.
