Followup MI: Father who shot Son Found Justified

A 51-year-old Clinton Township man was acquitted of attempted murder by a Macomb County jury after he claimed self defense for shooting his adult son in the face.

Nathaniel Burks was found not guilty of attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony Friday following less than 90 minutes of deliberations and a three-day trial in front of Judge James Maceroni in circuit court in Mount Clemens.
