TN: Gun Beats Knife, no Charges Yet
Metro police at this point believe acquaintances Southern and DeMarcus Wellington, 41, were having a dispute when Southern allegedly pulled a knife. Wellington then fired a gun, according to the release.
Wellington has not been charged as the investigation continues, the release states.
