Followup NY: Armed Homeowner Shoots, Kills Intruder in ILION

At 9:53 a.m. Wednesday, Ilion police responded to a report of a shooting at 39 Richfield Street in Ilion.

When officers arrived on-scene, they found one deceased male lying in the driveway of the residence. They also found the injured homeowner at the residence.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, but it appears to have been a home-invasion armed robbery and the homeowner shot the suspect in self-defense.
