TX: No-bill in Austin Shooting

Austin police officers responded to the shooting around 6:30 a.m. in the 10200 block of Brantley Bend, near the intersection of Lindshire Lane and West Slaughter Lane.Officers said James was reportedly walking around the block, banging on doors, and forced his way onto the threshold of one of the homes, alerting the homeowners. Daub, who was in the home with his wife and three children, went to the door and fired at James, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
