Followup NC: No charges for Person who Shot Robber in Jewelry Store

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Charges will not be brought against a person in control of Long Jewelers who shot and killed a suspect during an attempted armed robbery, police said Tuesday.

At approximately 3:25 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 1000 block of Hanes Mall Boulevard in reference to multiple calls regarding a shooting. Police also received a call reporting a robbery at Long Jewelers.

When police arrived, a deceased male was located in the parking lot near Long Jewelers. The male appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound.
