Police are investigating after a Maryville resident shot at an intruder during a Thanksgiving morning break-in, possibly wounding the unwelcome visitor.

The two residents, Ashley K.
Moyers and her 46-year-old fiance, Bryan Nuchols, told officers they
heard a noise inside the home. Nuchols said he grabbed his Glock 22
.40-caliber handgun and started investigating. He noticed the living
room door, which is normally open, was closed.
