Shortly after 5:30 a.m. on Oct. 30, the Forest Acres Police Department said officers were called to a shooting at a home on Ransom Drive.
During the investigation, officers discovered that the man who was shot was the aggressor in a domestic violence incident that involved a mother and her son.
The suspect, 40-year-old Saban Burzic, was shot in the lower body and taken to a hospital. FAPD said Burzic is charged with third-degree domestic violence as well as third-degree assault.
