OH: Security Guard Shoots, Wounds Man who Smashed his Car, Challenged Him

The man said he returned to the store about an hour later and challenged the security guard to a fight. The guard refused to leave the store, so the man smashed the guard’s car with a rock, according to police reports.

The guard walked outside and pointed a gun at him and the two argued, according to police reports.

The security guard aimed his gun at the man’s groin and fired, hitting the man’s left thigh, according to police reports. The man walked to Case Court and East 49th Street, where he flagged down a police officer.
