Seattle Police said the victim was robbed.
Fire officials said the 24-year-old man was taken in critical condition to Harborview Medical Center. Officials say he later died at the hospital.
Officers interviewed a 39-year-old man at the scene who said he shot the man because the man was trying to rob him. Homicide detectives were interviewing the man to learn more.
