Police believe the 24-year-old and another man had knocked on the door of the residence and "rushed in" and assaulted another man inside the home before being shot.
A 24-year-old man was shot dead after being involved in an "altercation" inside an Akron home early Sunday morning, with the alleged shooter claiming it was in self-defense, police said.
