NEW CASTLE, Pa. —
An alleged burglar has been taken to a hospital after being shot by a homeowner Monday morning in New Castle.
Authorities were called to the home in the 1600 block of South Jefferson Street around 6:08 a.m. after someone reported a person had been shot after breaking into a home.
When the New Castle Police Department arrived, they found a suspect with a gunshot wound to the left leg.
