When law enforcement personnel arrived at the scene, “they confirmed there was a shooting, and one person was deceased,” according to the news release.
Detectives responded to the scene and interviewed the shooter and witnesses, according to the news release.
“While the investigation is ongoing,
initial information, including witness statements, evidence on the scene
and video surveillance, it appears the shooting was in self defense,”
the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office said in the news release, adding
that there was no evidence to indicate any of the involved parties or
witnesses knew the decedent.
