One man was allegedly being robbed by two men, then one of the two armed robbers shot and killed him, the sheriff’s office said. The 18-year-old surviving resident then fired a gun, killing both of the armed robbers, according to deputies.
A witness located from surveillance video independently corroborated the events, and detectives determined what happened did not meet criteria for a murder charge after consulting with the district attorney's office.
Each of those killed were found with gunshot wounds and firearms next to them; all four men were allegedly armed illegally with handguns due to prior felony convictions, the sheriff’s office said.
