FL:Drunk Intruder Breaks Door, gets shot

"The dogs were barking. I left my bedroom to find an intruder standing in my kitchen; he was ordered to stop. He advanced forward, and that's when I did what I had to do to protect myself and my family," he explained.

Mike said his house was dark and groggy before he saw a silhouette coming for him. After ordering the person to stop, Mike said he fired two gun shots.

Deputies said the man in the kitchen was 25-year-old Cody Miller—who lives across the street from Mike.

Deputies said they believe Miller was intoxicated when he allegedly kicked down Mike's door.
