Pacheco had convictions for grand theft, commercial burglary and meth possession.
According to investigators, Pacheco was seen trespassing on private property several times by the homeowner, who was later identified as Boyer.
On the day of the deadly shooting, Boyer saw Pacheco gathering items from his property. After confronting Pacheco, Boyer shot him, police said.
