At first glance, this does not look justified. Tapping on a window is not a deadly threat.
Police said a woman was inside her apartment when she heard someone tapping at her window and thought it was an intruder.
Police said the man she was with inside the apartment fired a shot, hitting the man outside in the chest. The woman told police it was her ex-boyfriend.
