One man was left injured in a Midtown shooting after firing shots at suspects trying to break into his vehicle as he was sleeping inside of it early Thursday morning, police say.
Police spoke with a man who told them he was asleep in his vehicle parked at the back of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Hall at 1870 Madison Avenue.
The man said he was awakened from his sleep after hearing what sounded like glass breaking. He began shouting, and the suspects opened fire at him before he was able to grab his handgun and return fire, officers said.
